Bikes are banned on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and other access-controlled expressways. This route avoids them: NH 44 to Sonipat, then Baghpat, Baraut, Budhana and NH 334 via Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee to Haridwar. From east Delhi, the old Meerut road via Modinagar joins NH 334 at Meerut.
