Calendar from 27 November to 5 December 2026 marking Motoverse in Goa and India Bike Week in Panchgani

For most of the year, Indian riding culture is spread thin: a breakfast ride here, a WhatsApp group there, one long trip if work allows. Then, at the end of November, it all lands in one place. Royal Enfield's Motoverse in Goa and India Bike Week 2026 in Panchgani pull thousands of riders to the west coast within a single week, and the ride to get there becomes half the point.

This year the two festivals sit almost back to back. Royal Enfield Motoverse 2026 runs from 27 to 29 November in Vagator, Goa. India Bike Week 2026 follows on 4 and 5 December in Panchgani, Maharashtra. The gap between them is five days and roughly 400 km, which is exactly the right amount of time to ride the Konkan coast from one to the other.

This guide covers both festivals: the dates, the ticket prices announced so far, what actually happens there, the routes from the big cities, and a plan for riders who want to do both.

The dates at a glance

  • Motoverse 2026 | 27 to 29 November | HillTop, Vagator, Goa | from ₹2,599 early bird
  • India Bike Week 2026 | 4 and 5 December | Panchgani, Maharashtra | from ₹1,999 for one day

You do not need to own a motorcycle to attend either. Prices are what the organisers announced in early autumn. Early-bird prices close without much warning, so check the official sites before you plan your budget.

Royal Enfield Motoverse 2026

Motoverse is Royal Enfield's own festival, and it has become one of the largest motorcycling gatherings in the country. The 2025 edition drew more than 40,000 visitors over three days, and the brand says 60 percent of them were there for the first time. This year's edition marks Royal Enfield's 125th year, with a theme built around the 16-bit video game era.

You do not need to own a Royal Enfield, or any motorcycle, to attend.

Tickets

  • Early-bird individual pass: ₹2,599
  • Groups of five: ₹500 off per person
  • Groups of ten: ₹2,000 off per person
  • Tickets are sold on Royal Enfield's website.

The group pricing is the reason to sort out your riding crew early. Ten riders on one booking save ₹20,000 between them, which pays for a good chunk of the fuel to Goa.

What happens at Motoverse

  • Riding schools and arenas: Dirt Track, Slide School, Drift School and Trail School sessions, plus Moto Polo and the Maut Ka Kuan wall of death.
  • Test rides of the current range, including the Flying Flea electric bikes.
  • Group rides organised around Goa during the festival.
  • Talks and films under the Motoville and MotoReel banners, with racers, custom builders and long-distance riders.
  • Music across two stages. Reble, Lifafa, Sanjith Hegde, MHR & Friends and The Think Floydian are among the first names announced.
  • A marketplace of more than 100 riding and lifestyle brands, which is a good place to see gear in person before you buy it.

Royal Enfield has used Motoverse for launches before. The Bullet 650 was unveiled at the 2025 edition, and there is plenty of speculation about what will appear this year. Nothing is confirmed, so treat any rumour as a rumour.

India Bike Week 2026

India Bike Week, usually just called IBW, is the older of the two festivals and the more brand-neutral one. Every kind of motorcycle turns up, from 100 cc commuters to litre-class tourers and custom builds. For years it was held in Goa. In 2025 it moved to Panchgani after local election dates clashed with the Goa event, and it returns to Panchgani for a second year in 2026.

Panchgani sits on a plateau at around 1,300 m, between Wai and Mahabaleshwar. That changes the feel of the festival compared with Goa: cooler days, cold nights, ghat roads on every approach and a much smaller town around it.

Tickets

  • Early bird: opened on 12 September for the first 3,000 buyers
  • Regular one-day pass: ₹1,999
  • Platinum pass for both days: ₹7,000
  • Bulk bookings of up to 25 people: ₹2,699 per person for both days
  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, so be sure of your dates before you buy.

What happens at IBW

  • Races: five events across dirt, off-road, time trial and arena formats. Race entries are separate from festival tickets, and racers need an FMSCI licence. A one-time licence can be taken when you sign up for a race.
  • Custom builds: the IBW Bike Build-Off gives amateur builders an X440 T to customise, mentored by Harsh Man Rai, Anand Dharmaraj and Shail Sheth. There is also a judged custom showcase.
  • Stunt shows, with an international stunt rider teased for 2026.
  • Camping and a bonfire, which in Panchgani in December is less a gimmick and more a necessity.
  • The IBW Expo, with more than 100 gear and accessory brands.
  • Music, with the lineup still to be announced.

Getting there, the IBW way

IBW has said it will run organised rides to the festival from all major cities, and it has a cargo partner to ship bikes to Pune or Satara for riders who would rather fly in and ride the last stretch. It has also partnered with the Panchgani Hotel Association on stay packages. Details were still being finalised at the time of writing.

How to ride to Motoverse in Goa

Vagator is in North Goa, about 20 km from Panaji. These are rough road distances to the festival, one way.

  • From Pune: about 450 to 465 km, one long day or an easy two
  • From Mumbai: about 540 to 585 km, best split over two days
  • From Bangalore: about 600 km, one long day for experienced riders
  • From Hyderabad: about 670 km, two days

From Mumbai, the obvious road is NH66 through the Konkan, but parts of it are still under construction, and the inland highway through Pune and Kolhapur is a real alternative. Our full Mumbai to Goa bike trip guide compares the highway, the ghats and the coast in detail. Remember that bikes are not allowed on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway or on Atal Setu, so plan on the old highway and the Panvel route.

From Pune, ride down through Satara and Kolhapur and drop into Goa through Amboli, or take the Kolhapur to Belagavi route and come in through Chorla. Our Pune to Goa route guide covers the approach.

From Bangalore, the NH48 toward Belagavi is fast and well maintained. The last stretch through the forest into Goa is where you slow down and enjoy it.

How to ride to India Bike Week in Panchgani

  • From Pune: about 100 km, two to three hours through Wai and the Pasarni ghat
  • From Mumbai: about 230 to 255 km, five to six hours, either down NH66 and up through Poladpur and Mahabaleshwar, or along the old Pune highway and through Wai
  • From Hyderabad: about 585 km, one very long day or two
  • From Ahmedabad: about 730 km, two days
  • From Bangalore: about 775 km, two days

From Mumbai, the NH66 option via Poladpur and the Ambenali ghat up to Mahabaleshwar is the more scenic, and the Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar route guide covers it. Panchgani is about 20 km beyond Mahabaleshwar. The route through Pune is easier on traffic later in the day.

From Pune, the Pune to Mahabaleshwar ghat route passes straight through Panchgani. Leave early. On festival mornings, the Pasarni ghat will be full of riders, cars and buses, and it is narrow.

Doing both: the five-day Konkan ride

Motoverse ends on Sunday, 29 November. IBW opens on Friday, 4 December. Panchgani is about 380 km from Vagator by the quick inland route, so you could ride it in a day. But the better plan is to take the coast.

Day 1: Vagator to Malvan or Tarkarli, about 90 to 110 km. Leave Goa through Pernem and ride up the coast past Vengurla. A short, easy day after three days of festival. Malvan's fort, Sindhudurg, is reached by boat, and the seafood is the reason many people come.

Day 2: Malvan to Ganpatipule, about 250 km. Ride north through Devgad and Ratnagiri, partly on the coastal road and partly on NH66. The Ratnagiri to Ganpatipule stretch along the sea is one of the best short roads in Maharashtra.

Day 3: a rest day at Ganpatipule. Your body will thank you, and the beach is right there.

Day 4: Ganpatipule to Mahabaleshwar, about 185 km. Head inland through Chiplun and Khed to Poladpur, then climb the Ambenali ghat to Mahabaleshwar. Get the climb done in daylight.

Day 5: Mahabaleshwar to Panchgani, about 20 km. Arrive early, settle in, and be at the gates fresh.

The quick version: Vagator to Kolhapur through Amboli, about 260 km, then Kolhapur to Panchgani through Satara, about 170 km. Two easy days, with more time in Panchgani before the festival.

Practical notes for festival riders

Book your stay now. Goa in late November is peak season even without a festival, and Panchgani is a small town that will be full. If the festival packages are sold out, look at Wai, Mahabaleshwar or the villages around them.

Pack for two climates. Goa will be warm and humid. Panchgani in early December can drop to around 10°C at night, and riding the ghats at dawn is colder than that feels. A thermal layer and proper winter gloves take very little space.

Ride in daylight. Both festivals end late, and the roads around them are full of tired riders, parked vehicles and people walking on dark roads. Arrive and leave in daylight. If you must ride after dark, our night riding guide covers how to do it safely.

Do not drink and ride. Festival weekends come with police checkpoints in both Goa and Satara district. Park the bike for the evening if you plan to drink, and walk or take a cab back.

Pack light, pack right. A tail bag and a tank bag are enough for a week. Our motorcycle luggage guide explains how to load the bike so it still handles on the ghats.

Ride as a group, properly. Hundreds of groups will be on the same roads that week. A briefing, a lead and a sweep, and a clear plan for regrouping make a huge difference. Our group riding guide covers all of it.

Common questions

Do I need to own a Royal Enfield to go to Motoverse?

No. Motoverse is open to anyone with a ticket, whether you ride a Royal Enfield, another brand or no motorcycle at all.

Where is India Bike Week 2026?

In Panchgani, Maharashtra, on 4 and 5 December 2026. It is the festival's second year in Panchgani after it moved from Goa in 2025.

Can I attend both Motoverse and India Bike Week?

Yes. Motoverse ends on 29 November and IBW starts on 4 December. The two venues are about 380 to 400 km apart, so you can ride directly in a day or two, or take the Konkan coast over five days.

How far is Panchgani from Mumbai and Pune by bike?

About 100 km from Pune and about 230 to 255 km from Mumbai, depending on whether you go through Mahabaleshwar or Pune. Bikes cannot use the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Are India Bike Week tickets refundable?

No. IBW 2026 tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable, so confirm your dates before you buy.

Ride there with your crew

The best part of festival season is not the festival. It is the ride there with people you like, the chai stops on the coast, and the stories by the time you reach the gate. RydrLoop is built for exactly that. Post your ride to Goa or Panchgani, find riders from your city heading the same way on the same dates, split the fuel and stays with the expense tracker, and keep the group together on the road with live tracking.

If you are planning the trip from scratch, our month-by-month riding calendar explains why November and December are the best riding weeks of the year.

Book the tickets, sort the crew, and see you on the coast.
